First of all, that’s such a simple name, quite creative in the sense that people meet up at joints to catch up and more.

Something about the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja is prices of things are based on location most times, like restaurants, rooftops, malls, rent, supermarkets, etc, that are in places like Maitama, Wuse, Jabi and the likes tend to have higher prices than places like Apo, Gwarimpa, Karo, Galadimawa, and such.
Well, The Joint not being at these high borough areas seemed to have an unusual increase in price. I remember telling my friend, “ah, why am i seeing Maitama prices in this area?” But I thought, I need to see this place to understand.

My joy was that it had tea, so let’s start there. Got to The Joint, and really, from the entrance, i could see the work put in there. My love for flowers being so obvious, I fell in love. It was surrounded by greens with a chosen color of grey furnishing and painting.
High tables for 2, low tables with sofa for comfortable party of 4 to 6 or 8 people, spacious and airy environment and a nice host. It had two options of either indoors for fine dining or outdoor for lounging.

Before I had a seat, waiting for the ladies, i could smell the aroma of places i have visited and love, whiffing through. In my honest opinion, no place I’ve visited in that district had such setting, mannerism, and beauty. I now understood the price tags, and I was willing to pay for the standard. Before then, Hareem Dreams restaurant was what was thriving, but i think it comes second now. Food and forest third and The Joint first.

Ordered for tea, as that was my intention. The tea was actually good it was ordered twice. Didn’t have an appetite for food as I didn’t intend a meal there just yet.

I eventually tried some food later on and the list includes; burger, rice, shawarma, wings, fries, and fish as well as a couple of drink, all I can say is that “its your money worth”.

Lastly I’m so glad I have a new tea spot that is around me, quite on the fancy side and nice without me leaving my comfort zone.

Galadimawa, Lokogoma, the entire Apo district, this Joint is for you.
Cheers to a soft life 🥂
