CAFÉ DIMANCHE. (SUNDAY CAFÉ)
We were looking for a chic indoor place to sip tea and spill tea, but the signature by la petite gateaux was a bit late because no reservations were made prior to our impromptu decision of having tea. Had to search for an alternative indoor space to relax, we stumbled upon café dimanche on IG. Opposite of Signature by LPG if blue is the opposite of pink that is. The pictures on the gram didn’t do much justice till we physically stepped into the building.

Located at a quiet area in Wuse, the building over looks popular spors like yoguberry, Rice bowl and more.
The color combination inside was gorgeous. The chairs were a combination of straw and cushion, and they looked well thought out. The paint looks like the blue only the bourgeoisies had access to in the 1900s , it gave off a page off the history romance off Mills and Boons. (A novel I snuck and buried my nose in, in my extra spare time during my formative teen years)

The music was subtle. The waiters were polite. It was a quiet place. Was reminded of a library back in school that kept all students quiet. Such meditation. Didn’t know it then, know it now. 🧘♀️
Personally, you won’t even want to make too much noise in such a pretty quiet space. It brings out the calm in you. -P.O.T.S
The colorful minimalism was different from pink and other popular colors stereotypical of a café. Just look at the purple flowers surrounding this cage. Looks comforting, the kind you want to curl up with a book and a tea/drink. It’s quite cozy.

The menu was very friendly, easy to understand, and affordable. The food and tea were pleasing and tasted delicious. Ordered the chicken wings twice. Well, because it’s mostly less crowded than your regular spot, you get your order fast.
Oh! look at that. They still stuck to the color blue. A focused café.

The Arabian tea was out, so settled for a karak chai, a style of masala chai that translates from Hindi to “strong tea”. It’s rich and creamy. This sweet Indian tea is made with a blend of fermented black tea leaves, ginger, and spices such as black pepper, cardamon, cinnamon, fennel, and cloves. So imagine how calming it could be.

Overall, my experience there was nice. I would recommend it to anyone so long as you are a peace loving, tea lover, quiet soul.
If you are in Abuja, and ever need a quiet place to study, have a business meeting, a first date or last or in between, or simply just a place away from the noise, this is your spot. It’s gender friendly as well and way in your pocket.
Let me know how it goes, sisters. 💅🏿
